Euglena-Derived Anti-Diabetic Substance Research
Discovered a linear cationic polysaccharide derived from paramylon accumulated by Euglena (microalgae) that promotes GLP-1 secretion. Under joint research with AIST and Kobelco Eco-Solutions as an anti-diabetic drug candidate that improves glucose and lipid metabolism.
Safe Puncture Needle Structure for Dialysis (International Patent)
Development of a novel puncture needle designed to facilitate safer clean buttonhole cannulation by relieving puncture pain and significantly reducing the risk of local infection caused by scab displacement.
Blood Purification Device & Access Flow Rate (US Patent)
System patent related to dialysis circuits and blood purification devices. Co-filed with Nipro Corporation and registered in the United States in July 2022.
